Some things I enjoy outside of mathematics:
Snow. I rekindled my love for skiing during graduate school. Here are a few photos from some of my favorite Colorado ski spots

Jenny Creek Hut (very cozy!)
2. Backpacking. I've spent the past several summers exploring the high country interior of Olympic National Park. My off-trail excursions have made me immensely grateful for all the hardworking (and underpaid) trail crews out there. Seriously, if you build trails the drinks are on me! Below are a few photos from some of these trips.

The remains of the Ferry Glacier in 2022. All the visible snow and ice was gone when I returned in 2025.
Looking down at the Childs Glacier
Scoping out the descent off the shoulder of Mt. Ferry
Descending into the infamous Cream Lake "vortex"
3. Traveling. I've been very fortunate to visit a lot of wonderful places. Here are some recent photos from a trip to England this past spring.
Lots of lovely parks to stroll around in...
...and country paths to walk along (really, the public footpath network is remarkable)
Islington
4. Reading. I'm not as diligent a reader as I'd like. Alas. Some books I've read this year:
The Unconsoled, Kazuo Ishiguro
The Satanic Verses, Salman Rushdie
The Passage of Power, Robert Caro
Flashlight, Susan Choi
Currently reading: The God of the Woods, Liz Moore
Once I find a better place to put this, I'll likely relocate it. For now, however, this is where it is. The "is" in question is an expository report from the Center for Communications Research that, as far as I know, is the only document where one can find a complete proof of generalized Weil reciprocity.
