The Johannesburg Weavers and Spinners Guild of South Africa are passionate about weaving, spinning, felting, dyeing and fibre art.
We are active in these time honoured traditions, where we have joined together to enjoy the inspiration, motivation and help provided by the collective membership.
We have members at all levels of expertise and productivity. Some of our more experienced members give classes in the various disciplines. Membership is open to all interested, regardless of skill level or ability.
The Guild has a general meeting every month. These meetings provide us with time to share our craft experiences and give us the opportunity to enjoy speakers and demonstrations on related subjects. We also have workshops a few times a year.
An extensive library of books and current magazines which keep us up to date with the latest trends worldwide is available to members.
Guild membership fees are R250.00 per year from 2025.
General meetings are held on the first Saturday of the month 9:30 for 10.00 am.
Please contact joburgweaversguild@gmail.com to find out where the
meeting for the current month will be.
Bring your current works and enjoy time with like minded crafters.
