1) Consultant, COMESA, 2024. Fostering sustainable regional development: The complementary roles of unpaid work reforms and entrepreneurship training for women and youth in COMESA. Cases of Zimbabwe and Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
2) Consultant, University of Zimbabwe: Restoring confidence in long-term savings post-hyperinflation: The case for Zimbabwe. As Co-Principal Investigator (2024-2025).
3) Consultant, Oxfam Zimbabwe. Joburg Mahuyu and Prof. Makochekanwa were tasked by Oxfam Zimbabwe to produce an Inequality Report for Zimbabwe (2022).
4) Consultant, COMESA Clearing House (CCH), Harare, Zimbabwe. Joburg Mahuyu was part of a team led by Prof. Makochekanwa tasked to develop the Zimbabwe National Export Strategy (NES) 2017-2021 Policy Document by CCH and Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC). The NES Policy Document will guide the country’s exports in the five year period.
5) Consultant, International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Canada: As Co-Principal Investigator. Skills for Employment: Scaling up Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Africa, (July 2016 to December 2018). Project Number: 108 174-002.
6) Consultant, University of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe. Mr Joburg Mahuyu was tasked by Principal Investigator to assist to conduct a Trade and Transport Facilitation Assessment study (2017).
7) Consultant, Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC): As Co- Principal Investigator. Mr Joburg Mahuyu under Prof Makochekanwa participated in the development of the Zimbabwe National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS). Participated in national stakeholder workshops in the country’s 10 provinces as data capture and analyser (2022-2023).
8) Consultant, GIZ-Botswana, Gaborone, Botswana. Mr Mahuyu was part of the team which was contracted to develop the SADC Trade Development and Trade Promotion Framework.
9) Consultant, Central Statistical Office (CSO) as Enumerator in National Census, 2002 2012 and 2022, CAMFED as Field Officer, World Vision as Enumerator, Education as field supervisor.
10) Consultant, University of Zimbabwe (UZ) – General Price Level survey in Zimbabwe. As a field officer.
