Nowadays, we face many challenges: anxiety, depression, social isolation, fears, guilt, and difficulties in being who we really are. We hold grudges and other feelings and have difficulty expressing ourselves and putting our voice out there, and sometimes we live with illusions and are attached to issues that are not good for us. We are living in very challenging times in many aspects of our lives.
In 1999, I began my experience in personal development with conventional psychotherapy methods, and since then I have never stopped studying and working on my own personal and professional development.
My academic background was in languages, hotel administration, and psychology. My greatest desire has always been to be able to work helping in the personal and professional development of other people, being able to help them get where they want to be, just as I aim for my own personal and professional growth.
In parallel to my traditional academic background, I have completed several other trainings.
In my 25 years of professional and academic experience, I have worked as an English and Portuguese teacher, in customer service, as an administrative manager, as a pedagogical coordinator, as a therapist and psychologist, and as a personal and professional growth facilitator.
I have a special interest in therapies that work with psychosomatics, the unconscious, breaking limiting beliefs, changing behaviours and personal and professional growth through serious monitoring focused on the needs of my clients.
My job is to help you discover who you really are and realize your potential and find mental, emotional, and physical balance, because our body reflects much of what we feel inside and do not say.
Count on me to give you the support we need so much these days through personal and professional development resources and techniques.
Schedule an appointment and let's talk to find out how together we can begin this journey of personal and professional development and self-discovery.
I speak Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
Psychology has always been present in my life; I did more than 18 years of psychotherapy until I finally graduated in Psychology.
The psychotherapy process involves very deep and broad work with the emotions and thoughts that are behind many issues of our behaviour.
Unlike Coaching, psychotherapy investigates the psyche, analyses what led the client to that moment in their life, makes psychodiagnosis, and monitors cases of mental disorders, among many other skills that concern only psychologists and Psychology.
Clinical psychologists follow different psychological approaches (Psychoanalysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Analytical Psychology, Existentialism, to name a few examples) in order to help their clients.
The manifestation of a symptom and the behaviour of a client are seen from a much more complex perspective, involving a very deep dive into the mind of the client who is going through a psychotherapy process.
It is not customary to set a time limit for the duration of a psychotherapy process, although this can be done; the duration of the process is usually left open, as other issues, in addition to those originally raised by the client, may arise during the sessions.

What we think becomes an emotion and this emotion generates behaviour in us, which may or may not be appropriate, rational, functional and which generates positive possibilities in our lives.
An emotional support process aims to understand what beliefs the client has that may be generating behaviours that are not appropriate for the reality that he or she seeks for his or her life.
When a client wants to achieve a goal, a thousand things go through his or her head and many other emotions and feelings appear and disappear while the client is working on achieving his or her goals, whether they are small or large, from a weekend trip to moving to another country, on another continent.
Emotional support process aims to recognize and welcome these various emotions and feelings that arise along the way and that need to be seen and expressed, so that the client will have more and more mental clarity about where he or she is and where he or she wants to go.
A very common example is when someone says that they will never be able to do something they want so much. During this process, we reflect on the thoughts, feelings and emotions associated with this thought: origin, intensity, consequences of holding on to it, who said the client will never be able to do it and how to establish a path, an objective way, that can change this reality.
Some clients prefer to undergo this emotional support process solely and exclusively to explore their emotions and feelings and, thus, challenge limiting beliefs and thoughts in their own lives, without necessarily having a specific goal that the client wants to achieve. However, it is common in these types of sessions for the client to begin to express desires that they had not previously thought of.
