Associate Research Professor 

1. Dr. Sawanta S. Mali (Associate Research Professor)

He is currently working as an Associate Research Professor  from March 2021, School of Chemical Engineering. Before he worked as An outstanding overseas young researcher Brain Pool Fellow & Assistant Research Professor under National Research Foundation of Korea (KRF) Program at Polymer Energy Materials Laboratory (PEML), School of Chemical Engineering, Chonnam National University, Gwangju, South Korea. He is recipient of the prestigious “Best Ph. D. thesis Award” by the International Solvothermal and Hydrothermal Association (ISHA)-2014, France. Dr Sawanta received his Ph. D. degree from Shivaji University Kolhapur, M. S. India in 2013 in Polymer solar cell based on nanostructured metal oxides under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Pramod S. Patil, Shivaji University Kolhapur India. His research interests are mainly focused on the hydrothermal/solvothermal synthesis of 1D/3D nanomaterials and their application in hybrid and flexible perovskite solar cells.

Research area: Perovskite solar cells, multijunction perovskite solar cells, perovskite light emitting diode (PeLED), CO2 reduction.

Research Professor 

1. Dr. Mrs. Jyoti V. Patil (Research Professor)

From Dec. 2018, Dr. Jyoti working as a Research Professor at School of Chemical Engineering. Before joining PEML, she received her Ph. D. degree in Physics under the guidance of Prof. Pramod S. Patil, Thin Film Materials Laboratory, Department of Physics, Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2018. She received her B. Sc. degree from Shivaji University Kolhapur in 2011, M. Sc. degree from Shivaji University Kolhapur in 2013. During her Ph.D. work, she worked as a "Basic Science Research (BSR) Fellow" under University Grants Commission (UGC) New Delhi, India. In addition, she has been awarded the "International Exchange Student" scholarship from South Korean Government to work at Chonnam National University Gwangju, South Korea. Her research interests include functional nanomaterials synthesis by electrospinning, electrochemical and hydrothermal technique with the direction of application in dye-sensitized solar cells, perovskite solar cells and supercapacitor.

Ph. D. Students

1. Mrs. YoungHee Jung (M.S.) 

Mrs. YoungHee Jung  currently working as a Senior Researcher at KTR. She completed her Master degree in School of  Chemical Engineering at Chonnam National University, under the guidance of Prof. Chang Kook Hong. During her master course he worked on nanofiber based Dye sensitized solar cells in 2013. Currently her research work is focused on testing nanomaterials and its application)

2. Mr. Chang Seok Ryu 

Mr. Chang Seok Ryu joined in PEML lab in March 2020. His main research focused on Rubber and polymer composite

3. Miss. Hye Seon Park 

Miss. HyeSeon Park joined PEML in June 2020. Her main research is focused on Biodegradable PLLA-based  polymer and its composite application.

(Miss. HyeSeon Park completed her Master degree in 2015 from same School of Chemical Engineering, Chonnam National University under Prof. Chang Kook Hong guidance. During her master degree she studied different phenomenon of redox flow battery using different membrane)

4. Mr. Pavan M. Kodam 

Mr. Pavan M. Kodam joined PEML in Sept 2022 as a doctoral student.  He completed his M.Sc. in Nanoscience in 2020 from Shivaji University Kolhapur. After that he worked at Solapur University Solapur at a Junior research fellow from Dec-2020 to Aug-2021. He worked on NiCo2O4-based supercapacitor.

5. Mr. Ajit S. Mali 

Mr. Ajit S. mali joined PEML in March 2023 as a doctoral student.  He completed his M.Sc. in Nanoscience in 2021 from Shivaji University Kolhapur. He worked on MnO2-based supercapacitor.
