From March 2024 I began working with Morrisons UK, I entered the retailer at a store level working closely with Price & Legality teams before working primarilly on store Promotional content, Morrions worked with Xerox Until Febuary 1st 2025 which saw the Transition to Delta Media group to supply all of our printed Promotional Content.

During this changover I was given the responsibility of a Regional POS Representative which saw me speaking on behalf of all our south coast stores to head office, Including all Kent stores (20) & bordering Sussex stores (4). This representive role gave me the ability to voice opinions on an Improved way of working as a business in smaller areas that are often hard to gauge by head office.

Some of my main responsibilities included:

Managing Costs & Budget - Keeping to a specified budget per year / quarter

Engaging with teams to get feedback on our internal operations and how It can be improved

Engaging with head office for quaterly & seasonal roundtable talks

Engaging with external brand representatives & following brand guidelines

In September 2024 Morrisons launched their Mega Offer campaign, Loyalty card (More card) users were eligible for major products discounts for one week only when they spent £45 or more in one shop, When they did they were able to pick up the item for the low price. Just after christmas came a market-leading offer, A Never seen before price for Ben & Jerrys Ice cream, Just £1. Following Guidance to assist with this offer going live.

Christmas 2024, To stay ahead of the market we promoted our christmas vegtable range to Just 10p, The 2nd Lowest National retailer.

We also were the first to launch a long standing offer for our Wine range, Buying 6 for 25% off when you scan your loyalty card. I was also tasked with getting this offer "live" the night before the offer went live.

Finally, In January 2025 we launched the "Wine of the week" campaign releasing a high quality, Low price wine as part of our Loyalty reset plan

In august we started trialing More card prices in full swing, theese were already trialed previously but not as strongly. It was our own unique twist on the Widley known "clubcard price" from tesco. Morrisons started offering a points & cupon system, When earning enough points. We started offering 5 points for every item on the run up to christmas which lead to a heavy POS package being sent into stores. Following a breif I was able set up the Marketing in store overnight, Ready for it to go live. We also branded new prices In store which were lower if you had a More card.

This also Included the new phrase "Pay less" or "Pay less with more card" being used across all stores

With my role of a POS rep I was able to feedback easier ways to obtain more cards at a store level, Initally starting as Online/Web only.. Getting to Physical forms that were Freepost to obtain a card and the fully refined verion is a method of getting & activating a More card In store on the day.

My previous work experience has provided me with the opportunity to apply my existing knowledge to my role at Morrisons, allowing me to maintain a balance between creativity and structure. Working within the formality of a brief and adhering to brand guidelines, I've been able to showcase my ability to show innovative solutions while staying true to the company's identity. This role has helped me refine my skills and grow within the company, driven by my passion and motivation for what I do.

Over time, my understanding of the retail environment has expanded, especially regarding the placement of Point of Sale materials. I've gained a deeper insight into what customers see first when they enter the store and how marketing elements can impact experience. This awareness has strengthened my belief in the importance of effective marketing strategies in retail, as they play a key role in customer engagement and purchasing decisions.

Looking ahead, my long-term goal is to focus on creating compelling marketing content, both in video format and through static graphics. In early 2025 I was invited to a store-level audit with staff from head office, I was delighted with the opportunity and took it, I met with senior managers in marketing & technical to discuss the reason of visit that specific day.

Canning town is our first concept store, Built for london; Advantage tech and a keen eye for waste reduction. It also debuted our first market kitchen, a hot food-to-go counter with higher quality than both our cafe and in-store hot counters. The store is extremely forward and paper-less, Making it forever more important to the buisiness that one of our flagship stores is kept clean and tidy. I was able to place forward my own opinions to the visiting group and they welcomed me dearly.

We looked at how we can further reduce paper POS in this store specifically but yet finding other ways to portray it across the store
