Mango Lassi Recipe Spread

This was my first published spread in the Highlander magazine - a fresh mango lassi recipe to welcome the summer. I illustrated and crafted the layout to follow the Highlander’s style guide while adding my own unique touch.

Originally a Mexican military victory, Cinco de Mayo evolved into a U.S. celebration shaped by cultural pride and corporate marketing. I included this in my article on a Cinco de Mayo festival to better explain the origins and popularity of the holiday in the U.S.

Political conflicts over race, gender, and curriculum have financially burdened school districts and driven staff turnover. This infographic was made to show the impact of political polarization on schools in an article on the issue.

Senate Bill 1391 outlines five factors—like prior offenses and rehab potential—for trying juveniles as adults, which supported my article’s coverage of a DA’s controversial attempt to charge an ineligible youth.

Affordable Housing Storymap

I used Knight Lab’s timeline tool to visually showcase Belmont’s planned affordable housing units in my article on the city’s updated housing plan. The interactive format helped break down key projects, timelines, and locations for readers to better understand City plans.
