2019

Jesus Is The Way Christian Church brought in the New Year of 2020 together with friends.  It was a evening of rejoicing and celebrating what God has done for us during 2019.  The theme for the evening was our church's theme for 2020:

I'M A SUPERHERO FOR THE LORD!  

Ephesians 6:10-13, 1 Peter 2:9-12, and Mark 16:17

The evening began with the last fellowship meal of 2019 at 6:30 PM.  Everyone brought a dish of their favorite food!  The table was set! The food was spread!  The food was blessed!  Then we dined scrumptiously from an assortment of delectable foods God had provided through those who attended.  We reminisced about the blessings God had poured out upon us during 2019 as we sat around the table and enjoyed good conversation.  

Once the meal was completed and we had finished cleaning up the service began. Minister Darlene Brooks-Ross lead the congregation in Praise and Worship.   Music, songs, and testimonies filled the atmosphere!  Elder Bernice Brown was the worship leader for the evening.  The service was Spirit filled, and Spirit lead!  Four awesome men and women of God preached four outstanding sermonettes (short sermons) as the Lord Jesus Christ directed them.  The Voices of Praise Choir held a mini concert-singing two selections before the sermonettes were preached, two selections between each of the four sermonettes, and two selections after the sermonettes were completed.  It was a wonderful concert! Pastor Jackie Marrow had an altar call (invited the unsaved to receive Jesus) and prayed. She then invited everyone to come forward to be anointed and blessed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, person by person.  Pastor Jackie is an anointed woman of God who is lead by His Spirit!  When the clock struck midnight the New Year entered!  Everyone thanked God!  Then went around the sanctuary greeting each other with HAPPY NEW YEAR! 

2018

On Monday evening, December 31st @ 10 PM four Churches came together to celebrate God entering into a new year with us during Watch Night Service hosted by Jesus Is The Way Christian Church.  Elder Bernice Brown of Jesus Is The Way was the Worship Leader.  The pastors of the four churches brought the Word together in a unique manner called "Tag Team Preaching." It was awesome!
