Snowfall

SNOWFALL, an immersive RPG game, immerses players in a snow-covered mountain teeming with enigmatic riddles and challenges as they embark on a quest to reunite with their separated mentor. These challenges span from navigating ice-sliding puzzles, solving counting challenges, to navigating intricate mazes. Throughout the storyline, players must apply the knowledge gained to shape their journey and ultimately reach a personally satisfying conclusion.

The fundamental elements of the game are as follows:

  • Avatar: The player assumes control of a young female treasure hunter in an overhead perspective.

  • Game Space: The game space comprises distinct, interconnected locations, transitioning sequentially. To progress, the player navigates to specific spots within rooms, leading to the subsequent location.

  • Mechanics:

    • Setup: The game starts upon pressing the play button on the title screen.

    • Victory Conditions: Success is achieved by reaching the final room's transition spot, triggering the end screen.

    • Player Actions: Movement occurs in eight directions via arrow keys, and interaction with elements is via mouse clicks.

    • Progression of Play: This is a real-time single-player experience.

    • Definition of Game View: Includes characters, interactive environment pieces, character dialogue, and setting.

  • Dynamics: The game's dynamic revolves around a race to reach the end.

  • Goals: The objective is to solve puzzles and progress to the game's conclusion.

  • Themes:

    • Stories: Immersive narrative places the main character in a perilous situation, navigating a mountain to return home, encountering obstacles, and offering branching dialogue.

    • Main Characters: Encompasses a young female treasure hunter aspiring to enrich her community, an old lady trapped on the mountain, and a mysteriously absent mentor.

    • Environment: Set amidst a dark, wintry snowstorm, featuring shades of whites, blacks, purples, blues, and greens.

  • Game State: Comprises the visible environment around the player's viewpoint.

  • Game View: Encompasses the locations accessible via room transitions throughout the player's journey.
