Throughout the term I learned alot about myself, students, and teaching. I really enjoyed being able to form connections to many different aspects. Personally I was able to connect my own experiences as a Spanish speaker to the students at River Road Elementary. I enjoyed being able to share that part of my life and create a classroom that I had hoped for at their age. I learned how to allow students' passions and stories to be shared with me. I also learned how to bring curiosity to new species and environments. My reflections allowed me to focus on how I wanted to grow and improve each week. I found it helpful to see my strengths for motivation and new tools/strategies to combat my deltas. Overall, this experience has allowed me to teach but also learn and gain so much personal growth. I enjoyed the interactions and new lenses the students provided. It was fun seeing the students engaged and allowing myself to be a mentor. I will forever be grateful for the experience and skills I learned from my time in and outside the field.
