Since weapons are locked to your characters, I have included a weapon-upgrade system where you can go to the blacksmith's shop and upgrade your weapons. Upgrading your weapon increases the base stat that the weapon has.
A regular shop which sells you items and equipment. You can also sell your items to make a profit.
There will be some sort of request board in the town where you can view all quests that are available to you in this town. These quests won't affect the storyline, so you don't have to complete them, but they give you rewards that can improve your gameplay experience. (Rare items will only be obtained by completing quests). There is no time limit on these quests, so you can always go back to complete them. Quests include killing x monsters, gathering x items, fight a specific NPC, or go talk to a specific NPC.
NPCs will be walking around the town scene, just like the enemies in the outdoor scenes. They will walk for a few steps, stop for a second or two, and then start walking again. You can talk to these NPCs to activate hidden quests, receive gifts, or learn more about the place.
Enemies will only spawn in outdoor scenes. The theme of this game is water, and water is the origin of life. For that reason, I want to have water fountains in some areas where if you go next to them, your HP recovers slowly over time.
Map system which tells you where you are and what is around you. When you first get to a new place, the map is empty, and it will become a map as you explore the area. Enemies and chest will not be shown in the map, but you can see where the NPCs are as well as your position.
