This workshop was held to motivate fathers to be present and active in the life of their child. I assisted with planning and moderated this special event.
World Aids day was set up to inform students of everything concerning the spread, treatment and prevention of aids. We answered questions and catered to various class groups, especially grades 4-6.
Students were invited to view and learn about different careers available to them. We used the STEAM theme to guide the various display areas. My group focused on careers in technology.
Parents day was specifically designed to educate parents on the differents areas of interest in their child's life. We organized different groups for presentation and dubbed the day, "Tek a class". I was part of the group presenting (through drama) on technology in learning.
This is a national reading initiative in schools for one day dedicated to reading. We arranged different areas and had the classes come and view and listen to stories.
Two major themes combined to make a compact and activity filled day! We organized a Peace day service to spread the message, "Mek peace run tings". I moderated that program and participated in the drama presentation.
The service was followed by a day of buying and selling! Various stalls were set up and the school and community members supported the activity.
