Returning this year to the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition brought my experience full-circle. Joining the IMC (Integrated Marketing Communications) category last-minute didn't stop me from putting my all into this competition. Winning FIRST PLACE statewide with my presentation partner truly validated the hard work we poured into our campaign. Furthermore, securing a finalist position in the solo sales category as well, proved my ability to multitask and juggle multiple large responsibilities at once.

Competing in last year's Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition taught me the importance of commitment and perseverance. Working with my strategy partner, I honed my problem-solving skills and creativity over three months, resulting in a finalist position in our category of 'Retail Marketing' statewide. This experience has significantly shaped my professional growth, and I'm excited to participate in more marketing and sales competitions in the future.
My school marketing projects taught me the importance of meticulous planning and research to understand target audiences, the significance of creativity and innovation in capturing attention, and the necessity of effective teamwork and communication. These experiences equipped me with practical skills and a deeper appreciation for the multifaceted world of marketing.

While aiming for a 'perfect GPA,' it's easy to overlook the true essence of learning. My goal is to stay on the Dean's Honor List at GBC, but last semester, I really focused on meaningful learning, not just grades. Mock sales meetings in my Professional Selling class were a turning point. They deepened my passion for sales, improved my selling skills, and taught me about various techniques for different situations. This experience also enhanced my organizational skills and reliability. Beyond selling, I gained insights into the psychology of buying and selling, which I found fascinating.

Creative Coordinator
Back in 2016, during my initial year as a fashion model with only some prior magazine and runway experience, I was invited to assist in organizing an Art and Fashion Runway Show named Unplugged. This event was broadcast on Tag TV, and I also had the opportunity to participate as a model. In my capacity as Assistant Creative Coordinator, I was responsible for managing performers in a high-pressure setting. I put my leadership skills to work, effectively delegating tasks while fulfilling my modeling commitments.
Visual Merchandising
My combined experience at Banana Republic and as a Visual Merchandiser at Latitude Sales highlights my proficiency in a range of vital skills. At Banana Republic, I excelled as a top on-floor representative, consistently staying up-to-date on products and market trends, ensuring customer satisfaction. I had unwavering reliability, operated the POS system accurately, and played a key role in mentoring retail associates in exceptional customer service.
As a Visual Merchandiser at Latitude Sales, I used my creative talents to merchandise products effectively, emphasizing appealing presentations. I managed pricing logistics with precision and played a crucial role in team success during sales meetings. This experience enhanced my expertise in retail marketing, merchandising, and visual design while actively promoting brand awareness and staying current with fashion trends. In both roles, I excelled at creating a positive work environment and contributing to our sales success.
