In January of 2025, I began working at Baldwin Wallace University’s Digital Marketing Center, which is an organization that allows students to be advised on teams while they complete work for clients. This semester, I was added to a team for ChristieLiz Consulting, which is a solopreneur event planner, Christie Green, who needed help creating a web presence.
Since Green did not have a website except for saving her desired domain name, my two team members and I got to work researching her industry, brainstorming website and page wireframes, considering SEO strategies, and then began building her website on Wix. I also got practice learning how to edit my own work to match the style choices of our design lead, which I found to be extremely valuable. In addition, we met with Green several times to get her feedback on our work and hear her ideas.
With my interest being in SEO and SEM, I am able to work on boosting the performance of the pages we created to get her the most traffic to her site. We then can analyze the results through Google Analytics to see where we can make beneficial adjustments. Her website is set to launch at the end of April.
