The goal of this project was to create an instructional guide. I chose to make a guide on how to upgrade Genmega ATMs to EMV that includes step-by-step instructions with pictures. Users of this guide would be able to follow along while performing the upgrade. The guide includes sections for Introduction, Required Tools, and Instructions, all of which were informed by the instructional genre of technical communication. There are diagrams included for each step with red circles to indicate the parts of the image the user should focus on.

A technology explanation report of what EMV chip readers are and why ATMs need to be upgraded to EMV. This report includes logistics, compliance dates, competition information, and the future of EMV. This report required research into a specific technology, and it also required catering the material to the intended audience.
