Writing big illions tutorial

This page is meant to help you write up insanely large illion numbers in as many tiers as I possibly can fit here! This'll be comprehensive as I discover more about how these work. This is also meant as a way to understand how these work, just as I'm learning too!

When I can, I'll make a big list of the 1st through 999th illion in each tier, to be able to understand this pattern better.

Now, if you want to abbreviate all of this instead, then I would recommend looking at this document by Gamer Googol, but be warned that after Tier 4, the illions are different.

TIER 1

Ones:

The order after the 10th Tier 1 illion is: addon+tens+hundreds

Make sure when adding tens after the hundreds that dec and vigint has an i after it,

and an a after the rest.

2nd illion is Billion, 11th illion is Undecillion, 37th illion is Septentrigintillion,

112th illion is Duodecicentillion, 236th illion is Sextrigintaducentillion, etc.

But hold up! You may notice something here. You'll probably question why Trecentillion is the 300th illion, but when you go to make the 103rd illion, it's also named Trecentillion. What gives?

Well, for here, you'll add an s after Tre, so you'll get Trescentillion, the 103rd illion.

You can also avoid this problem if you use Tri instead of Tre, so you'll get Tridecillion as the 13th illion. There's multiple ways to fix this problem, for those are two of those solutions.

TIER 2

Ones:

The order after the 20th Tier 2 illion is: addon+tens+hundreds

You replace the V for Vecillion with the addons, making sure there's only one e before the c.

After that, when adding tens after the hundreds, there should be an i after Vec and Icos,

and an a after the rest.

11th Tier 2 illion is Meillion, 12th Tier 2 illion is Duecillion, 13th Tier 2 illion is Trecillion, etc.

You can combine Tier 1 illions with Tier 2 illions by putting a hyphen between each Tier 2 illion.

But for ones on its own after the 1,000th Tier 1 illion, you use these:

So 1,000th Tier 1 illion is Millillion, 2,000th Tier 1 illion is Dumillillion, etc.

After that, the same Tens and Hundreds pattern apply here.

So 10,000th Tier 1 illion is Decimillillion, 25,000th Tier 1 illion is Quinvigintimillillion, etc.

241,497,652nd Tier 1 illion is:

TIER 3

This is where it really starts to get more complicated from here on.

This tier introduces brackets into the tens, and the teens are added before 20.

This is structured differently. The Teens are used only when the tens digit is 1, and they are used after Xennillion.

So 10th Tier 3 illion is Dakillion, 11th Tier 3 illion is Hendillion, 12th Tier 3 illion is Dokillion, etc up until Nedakillion, the 19th Tier 3 illion.

After that, the tens are placed after the addon, and the letters in the parentheses depend on the ones digit. If the ones digit is 0, 1, 6, or 8, use k. If the ones digit is 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, or 9, use c.

Examples:

20th Tier 3 illion is Ikillion, 21st Tier 3 illion is Ikenillion, 22nd Tier 3 illion is Icodillion,

23rd Tier 3 illion is Ictrillion, 24th Tier 3 illion is Icterillion, 26th Tier 3 illion is Ikectillion, etc.

The pattern here is added after the hundreds are added, so...

110th Tier 3 illion is Hotdakillion, 121st Tier 3 illion is Hotikenillion,

232nd Tier 3 illion is Bottracodillion, 473rd Tier 3 illion is Totzactrillion, etc.

Because the hundreds are added before the ones and tens, there's no separator letter here, but when combining tiers of illions, it always has an i before the hyphen or closing parentheses.

As for combining Tiers 1 and 2 with Tier 3, there's parentheses that houses the Tier 2 and 3 words, like Novemquadragintaducenti(Hexetriacontatetrahectri-Exotnekecti)-Ducentillion.

Don't worry, you'll almost never have to do this from here on.

TIER 4

Now the difficulty in writing these illions are really starting to ramp up fast.

Unfortunately, because page 1.08 of the "Pointless Large Number Stuff" lacked many of these numbers, I had to do a lot of guesswork to see what works better, since the Big Numbers Wikia has way more than what this page goes to, so I apologize if some of this is incorrect.

Like with Tier 3, Teens are applied when the tens digit is 1, and are used after Betillion.

This means that 10th Tier 4 illion is Glocillion, 11th Tier 4 illion is Gaxillion,

12th Tier 4 illion is Supillion, etc until Outillion, the 19th Tier 4 illion.

After the 20th Tier 4 illion, the most-significant words go first.

Examples:

21st Tier 4 illion is Barrkalillion, 22nd Tier 4 illion is Barrejillion, 33rd Tier 4 illion is Garrijillion, 101st Tier 4 illion is Hutkalillion, 273rd Tier 4 illion is Mutjovarrovillion, etc.

TIER 5

This is where we start using extensions from this list beyond Bowers' illion system.

This is CompactStar's Extension to the illion system.

There are no Teens in this tier, so it's similar to Tier 1 here. Since there's no source for addons, I just modified the ones to be usable here. Do expect me to change that when someone dms me the official addons for this tier (if there is any).

11th Tier 5 illion is Hegeopillion, 23rd Tier 5 illion is Neamosillion, 85th Tier 5 illion is Unanisabillion, 132nd Tier 5 illion is Othapralphillion, 433rd Tier 5 illion is Nehaprdeltillion, etc.

We are again ignoring the separator letter between the tens and the hundreds.

TIER 6

Again, this is CompactStar's Extension to the illion system. This one is modified from the list I gave earlier.

Now, this looks identical to the prefixes shape names use, so I'll interpret Addon 1x and

Addon 2x+ as different things.

When the tens digit is 1, the Addon 1x is used and is applied before the tens.

Example:

11th Tier 6 illion is Hendecakisillion, 12th Tier 6 illion is Dodecakisillion, etc until Ennadecakisillion, the 19th Tier 6 illion.

When the tens digit is 2 or higher, the Addon 2x+ is used and is applied between here:

[Tens][Addon 2x+]kis. Change Icosa to Icosi when the ones digit is between 1-9.

If the tens digit is 2, use dodeca. If the tens digit is 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, use di.

Example:

21st Tier 6 illion is Icosihenakisillion, 22nd Tier 6 illion is Icosidodecakisillion, 32nd Tier 6 illion is Triacontadikisillion, 43rd Tier 6 illion is Tesseracontatrikisillion, etc.

Ignoring the "kis" part, the hundreds are added first before the rest.

Example:

120th Tier 6 illion is Hecataicosakisillion, 212th Tier 6 illion is Discosadodecakisillion,

355th Tier 6 illion is Triacosapentecontapentakisillion, etc.

TIER 7

This tier has two extensions combined into one tier, Aarex's Extension that only has one illion, and MrRedShark77's Extension that extends the rest.

This is one of those rare cases where there is an apostrophe in the name, which makes the 7th Tier 7 illion Blu'illion. We'll see more of this in later tiers.

Combining the Addon with the Tens is different here. They're separated by a hyphen this time.

Example:

15th Tier 7 illion is Green-Pinkillion, 21st Tier 7 illion is Light-Dikillion, etc.

When adding the Tens to the Hundreds, remove the "k" from the Tens.

Example:

110th Tier 7 illion is Pinvioletillion, 232nd Tier 7 illion is Scarlet-Tridioletillion,

453rd Tier 7 illion is Gold-Peetiteetioletillion, etc.

TIER 8

This tier reintroduces Teens here.

The Teens here are used after Ne', so...

11th Tier 8 illion is Sodillion, 12th Tier 8 illion is Mangesillion, etc until Potassillion,

the 19th Tier 8 illion.

After the 20th Tier 8 illion, the e and the apostrophe is replaced by the addon, so...

21st Tier 8 illion is Heniumillion, 22nd Tier 8 illion is Henesillion, 33rd Tier 8 illion is Linaltillion, 47th Tier 8 illion is Berynonyillion, etc.

For the hundreds, they're placed before this pattern.

Examples:

101st Tier 8 illion is Krypthydrillion, 122nd Tier 8 illion is Krypthenessillion,

243rd Tier 8 illion is Heryptberynaltillion, 750th Tier 8 illion is Niryptbone'illion, etc.

TIER 9

Now we're seeing many things used in illion numbers now...

Same as Tier 8, Teens are used after Eris, so...

11th Tier 9 illion is Makeillion, 12th Tier 9 illion is Sednillion, etc until Ganymillion,

the 19th Tier 9 illion.

After the 20th Tier 9 illion, Tens come before the Addon, so...

21st Tier 9 illion is Twekurillion, 22nd Tier 9 illion is Twekusillion, 28th Tier 9 illion is Twekoillion, 36th Tier 9 illion is Thirkurnillion, etc.

For the hundreds, they're placed after this pattern. I'll keep this one brief.

Examples: 111th Tier 9 illion is Makehundrelillion, 122nd Tier 9 illion is Twekushundrelillion, etc.

TIER 10

A lot more numbers with hyphens start showing up here and there.

Note that the first two Tier 10 illions are confusing to distinguish, so there'll be all caps version of these so you can know what letters to use.

Interestingly, the ones are used in the tens and hundreds, so that is why only one shows up in these categories. Again with the wiki not showing addons in play, I have to be creative as to how to intrepid these illions.

You can just put the ones in the tens without the hyphens (ignoring the first one) to make illions like: 20th Tier 10 illion is Isipillion, 30th Tier 10 illion is Samsipillion, etc.

Same deal with the hundreds:

200th Tier 10 illion is Ibeakillion, 300th Tier 10 illion is Sambeakillion, etc.

Now for illions like Tier 10 217-illion. For this, the entire addon is placed before the tens.

Example:

21st Tier 10 illion is Il'isipillion, 22nd Tier 10 illion is I'isipillion, etc.

Then you can add this to the hundreds like so:

125th Tier 10 illion is Sa'isipbaekillion, 263rd Tier 10 illion is Samoyuksipibaekillion, etc.
