In Autumn 2022, I organised a study group to study the series of papers "Smooth Profinite Groups" by Charles de Clerq and Mathieu Florence. These papers originally claimed to prove the Norm-Residue Isomorphism theorem without having to appeal to motivic homotopy theory. Sadly there is an error in the proof, but the techniques are still interesting and valuable to study!
