3 coins of each type (pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters) were continuously run through the sorter and every time they were sorted accurately. Overall the coin sorter was run numerous times and sorted 100% correctly. The only problem the sorter had originally was that the sorter jammed up because too many coins tried to exit the hopper at the same time. This was noticed before the whole sorter was completed.
Video of the system working and correctly sorting coins. No coins were discarded out of the end of the hopper. The coins averaged 17.5 seconds to sort 12 coins. It went faster if the quarters came out of the hopper first because they had the farthest to travel. The quarters seemed to be near the end most of the time. The specific size of the holes in the sorter only allowed the coins to fall in the first hole that it would fit in.
