One of the first projects we did using the slab technique.
Another slab technique learned by rolling and seaming the sides around a cylinder to make a cup.
Learning this style of building with slabs was fun and lead to the creation of this interesting sculpture.
This was super interesting, my first pinch pot wasn't the best but the way the glaze finished made this pot a work of art.
Going to the Life Enrichment Center to make pots with the elderly was a new and exciting experience. Everyone made beautiful pots and my second one was way better than my first.
This project had its challenges with its small details but overall the result is an interesting sculpture with many sharp points!
Developing the technique of wheel throwing is hard, and with limited exercise all I could created is this piece. It meets the requirements in height but opening it up is something still need to learn.
Bringing my character to life was interesting and had its own challenges making him "defy gravity". I ended up painting this piece with acrylic to make him more vibrant.
This piece is probably my favorite for many different reasons. it is really simple and clean, it is about my life, and it will last forever within my family retelling the story.
Learning about glazing was very intimidating at first, especially when you're worried about getting your things stuck to the kiln shelf, but after experimenting and seeing the amazing things it does to pottery I really enjoyed the techniques.
