I completed my BA in Business Economics in 2005 and MA in Economics in 2007, both from CSULB. I started teaching at various community colleges in Southern California as a part-time faculty member. I was hired full-time at Cerritos College in 2014, then full-time at Saddleback College in 2016.
I teach on-campus, honors, and online sections of Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics. Outside of the classroom, I am chair of the Economics department and Political Science department, co-chair of the OER/ZTC Work Group, and leader of the Peer Online Course Review (POCR) team. I am involved with the College Promise Program, Student Success Committee, and Guided Pathways.
On a personal note, I met my husband when I was 19 years old in an Economics course at CSULB! We have two children and love taking them National Parks for hiking adventure. We visited Bryce Canyon in December, a day after a huge storm and hiked 8 miles in the snow. Our five year old was a trooper (and ate lots of candy bribes!!). If we aren't hiking, we are at the beach. Both kids love the water and are learning how to surf.
