About
Jennifer Caine is an Essex-born artist living and working in Dundee, Scotland graduating with a BA Hons degree in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (2026). Caine's practice is heavily influenced by an affinity for drag performance and gender de/reconstruction. She draws on her own relationship with femininity through a queer perspective and creates a space for the feminine outside of the male gaze. She explores the remnants of identity through ephemeral states of being, a wake for lives and faces passed/past. Caine is repackaging the stillness of her heart back into love and milking the grief for all that it is worth, wringing it out and consuming it AGAIN.
