About
Jennifer Caine is an Essex-born artist living and working in Dundee, Scotland graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (2026). Caine's practice is heavily influenced by an affinity for drag performance and gender de/reconstruction. She draws on her own relationship with femininity through a queer perspective and creates a space for the feminine outside of the male gaze. She explores the remnants of identity through ephemeral states of being, a wake for lives and faces passed/past. Caine is repackaging the stillness of her heart back into love and milking the grief for all that it is worth, wringing it out and consuming it AGAIN.
