About Mrs. Jendza
Carrie A. Jendza graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor's degree in Choral/Vocal/Instrumental/ General Music Education in 2004. At ISU, Mrs. Jendza studied voice with Phillip Christiansen & Dr. Colleen Davis, violin with Dr. William Davis & Sharilyn Spicknall, viola with Kim Sullivan, and piano with Dr. Beverly Simms. Mrs. Jendza is currently pursuing a Master's in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, IL.
Mrs. Jendza has been teaching private lessons to all ages of students since 1999 and has experience teaching in public middle and high schools. In Indiana she served as the Director of Music and Worship at First Christian Church in Frankfort where she conducted the Chancel Choir. Mrs. Jendza is an active member of NATS, MENC, MTNA, and ACDA and sang with the Bach Chorale Singers in Lafayette, IN for 5 years.
In Minnesota, Mrs. Jendza performed the role of Jolene in the Little Theatre of Owatonna's spring 2012 production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, was the vocal director and violinist for the LTO's spring 2011 production of The Unsinkable Molly Brown, and participated in LTO's summer 2010 production of Gypsy. She studied voice with Janna Kysilko and appeared in The Car, a play in Faribault, MN in September 2012.
Mrs. Jendza and hr family moved to Bridgewater, New Jersey in 2012. Since moving to NJ, Mrs. Jendza has been a voice and violin teacher and substitute choral director at Newark Academy in Livingston, NJ. She sang with the Summit Chorale for a few years and volunteers her time adjudicating the Sights and Sounds music festival every spring.
Currently, Mrs. Jendza works a a cafe/play aide at Eisenhower Intermediate School. She is also involved in the Eisenhower PTO and serves on the organization's board as Recording Secretary. Mrs. Jendza loves the theatre and enjoys living close to NYC.
