Study the Rubric carefully. Make sure you understand what needs to be done, what you need to locate. Remember the Summary is a Reading and Writing activity, you are graded on both Content (8 points) and Language (8 points).
Never express your Point of View in any way, stick to what is mentioned in the text.
Never refer to the text.
You need to paraphrase, so make sure you use your own words as far as possible (without changing the meaning of the information).
Make sure you include at least 8 points without exceeding the word limit
Word limit is about 100 words (BUT NO MORE THAN 120 WORDS)
use linking words (firstly, secondly, thirdly, in addition, additionally, what is more, furthermore, moreover, lastly etc) to connect the points as well as information from the text so that the summary makes sense as a text. It should not be a list of points, but a text that can stand on its own.
use paragraphs if necessary.
