CNRS researcher since 2008, I now work at the CREATIS Laboratory, UMR CNRS 5520, in Lyon France. My research interests concern Image and Video processing and the analysis of regions of interest in various images and especially in medical images. I am particularly interested in the design and optimization of continuous criteria for various applications (segmentation of complex structures in 2D or 3D images, motion estimation and tracking in video sequences, filtering based on total variation, evaluation or fusion of segmentation methods, averaging or combining 2D or 3D shapes based on information theory). These variational methods are based on the introduction of rigorous mathematical models to characterize the problem (parametric or non parametric pdfs, optimization of divergences, shape metrics based on information theory, total variation) and on the implementation of optimization approaches which are well-adapted to each problem. My current research project addresses the problem of evaluation and fusion of 2D or 3D segmentation methods in medical imaging.
