Rationale:
The link above is an example of a website that was designed to assist me in expressing the overall environment of my future classroom. It was produced to be used as a tool for students and parents to reference and be sure everyone is on the same page during the school year.
IPTS 4 states that "the competent teacher structures a safe and healthy learning environment", which I believe is the most effective way to ensure productive learning and understanding in any classroom. Through out my website you will see the ways in which I plan to do so with my own class. From my Instructional Strategies to my General Rules I have the best interest of the students in mind.
I have learned through creating my own classroom website that having a plan and creating consistency is the best way to create effective classroom management. This project opened my eyes to all of the areas of teaching that you wouldn't normally consider as important and put them in the forefront. I look forward to continuing to edit my website as I learn more and use trial and error to find my most effective strategies.
