Sponsored by the Jefferson Avenue PTA in conjunction with Bravo! Creative Arts
New in 2022, the JA PTA is partnering with Ed Rocha at Bravo Creative Arts to bring a theater program to our school. This program is offered to students in grades, 2-5.
Interested students can participate in several ways, as part of the Stage Crew (lighting, sound, props, set painting, scene changes, etc.) or Performing Cast, which includes singing, dancing, and acting. Everyone participating in the show either in the ensemble or main roles will have to audition for the production. This year, we will be performing The Grunch.
The Grunch
Inspired by “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”, The Grunch tells the story of Rudy Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who always feels like an outsider. When the entire school gets excited about the annual school musical, he comes up with a perfect plan to ruin it for everyone; he’ll steal the sets, costumes and lights the night before it opens. But will the spirit of theatre prevail?
Come join this unforgettable cast of characters as they learn how to work together to save their musical from the grumpy Grunch.
Located in the JA Cafeteria, rehearsals are every Tuesday and Thursday starting September 9, 2025. We follow the district calendar so no school = no rehearsal. Drop off and pick up is at the cafeteria doors. Below are some important dates.
