The quote above says that the journey of 1000 miles begins with the single step. In our life whether its a negotiation process or any other journey that we would like to make or start, all of that need a first step to as our initiative to kick start as the journey. For me, I like to travel and explore new things but I was a child that pampered by parents and cousin in whatever things I tried to attempt. I always wanted to try different things. So doing STPM was the first thing that wanted to do something new from my cousins since I was the first one in my entire family who took STPM and I even scored quite well. This made my younger cousin to follow my footsteps. I was always been proud that at least I had the guts to attempt it and been a trend setter. As I like to travel, I wanted pursue my tertiary education at different places to explore more. And I was the first one from my family to travel to Sarawak and study. This was also inspired my young ones to try get out from their comfort zone. I felt that coming to UNIMAS is my first step to explore new people and cultures. I have dream that somehow at least once in my life I have to visit Dubai. There is more way to go achieve my dream.

As the quote say we cannot negotiate with the people who has the mindset of everything belongs to them is theirs and others belonging is you have to negotiate and get it. Those type of people are those who don't care of others, they just care for themselves. I literally hate this type of people they just come to us and negotiate when they wants from us anything. I had this roommate during my semester 1 who really don't cares about me, as I always scared of lizards. We had negotiated that when no one in the room the room window should have been closed, in return she asked to avoid the use of talcum powder as she is allergic to it, so I also had stopped using it room, whenever I wants to use it, I will go outside the room and will use it. But this person don't really what she had committed to me. She always kept the room window opened and the lizards will enter the room since no one is there. Whenever I ask why did you not close the window she will give reasons all the time, but when I use the talcum powder in room she will show her faces to me. So, at last I found that negotiating with her has no use since I do want to hurt her sometimes she was quit nice also. But somehow, I managed to stay with her for one year where I was happy that I am able to cope with other type of people.
