I received PhD in Political Science from the Faculty of Social Science, University of Oslo, Norway in 2014. I completed MA from GSIS, Ajou University, South Korea and BA from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Currently, I am the Assistant Director and a Researcher at Social Science Baha (SSB) (www.soscbaha.org), a research organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal. I am also involved in the study of labour and migration through a research wing, Center for the Study of Labour and Mobility (CESLAM) (www.ceslam.org) at SSB. I have served as a teaching faculty at DIRD and CPDS Tribhuvan University Kathmandu Nepal where I have taught master’s degree courses.  At Office of the Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, I have also taught a PhD course, Research Methods in International Relations. Previously, I worked as a research fellow at the Nautilus Institute (Seoul Branch) and Democracy and Social Movements Institute (DaSMI), Sungkonghoe University, Seoul, South Korea. 


Research Interest & Expertise: Public policies, democracy, conflict and peace, labour and migration, state-society relations, governance and institutions, development and co-operation, disaster, child labour, forced labour, trafficking, gender and social inclusion (GESI), Political Economy Analysia (PEA), and evidence-based research and evaluation
