Biography
Jay Anderson manages Digital Engagement and Public Participation at the City of Colorado Springs. Jay holds a 2010 Master of Public Affairs from the College of Public Service at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs, where he also serves as the Chair of the Dean’s Community Advisory Board.
Jay focuses on "the point of engagement" between the community and its government, creating programs that give a voice to people who want to have an impact on their community.

Jay serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee at the USA chapter of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) (2019-present).
Jay founded the Pikes Peak Public Participation Practitioners ("P5") working group to improve public participation across borders and sectors in the Pikes Peak region. (2018-present)
Jay also serves as the Co-Chair of the Pikes Peak Crisis Communicators Network, which brings together communications professionals to improve collaboration and Public Information Officers' performance in emergency incidents. (2021-present)
Jay chairs the Advisory Board for the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs College of Public Service (2019-present)
In his spare time, Jay is a father of three kids and makes an better-then-average green chile.
