This project involved the creation of thematic maps utilizing data from the US Census and the American Community Survey. The primary aim was to visually represent the spatial distribution of variables related to wealth in conjunction with the distribution of foreign-born populations and Hispanic/Latinos.
Analysis of the images suggests a correlation between Gross Income and Gross Rent, indicating a direct relationship or strong positive correlation. Furthermore, there appears to be a connection between Foreign-born populations and Hispanic/Latinos, with Hispanic/Latinos constituting a significant portion of the foreign-born demographic in these areas, thereby justifying their similar spatial distributions.
Conversely, there is a general trend indicating an inverse relationship between Gross Income and Rent on one hand, and the distribution of foreign-born individuals and Hispanic/Latinos on the other.
