TalkBox JCA is an advocacy project of JCA serving as a platform, through its own Facebook page, that aims to help and connect everyone regarding Mental Health Awareness by producing contents with the promotion of #MentalHealthMatters. Furthermore, anyone can send their message that might somehow help them release what is on their mind via Layang Hayag Freedom Wall or through Facebook Page Messenger. It is like having someone you can share with everything, may be big or small, while having the confidentiality of your identity. You can tell anything without requiring us to know your personal information.

INTRODUCTION

Mental Health is one of today’s most relevant topic worldwide. Increase rate of mental health problems that sometimes lead to self-inflicting pain are widely spreading. Some are even in denial about their condition. Everyone needs saving and help. Hence, mental health plays a vital role in our daily lives.Finally, in the Philippines, the Department of Health (DOH) has established a MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM which aims :

To promote participatory governance and leadership in mental health;
To strengthen coverage of mental health services through multi-sectoral partnership to provide high quality service aiming at best patient experience in a responsive service delivery network;
To harness capacities of LGUs and organized groups to implement promotive and preventive interventions on mental health;
To leverage quality data and research evidence for mental health; and
To set standards for compliance in different aspects of services. Under this are the policies and laws to help those objectives to be executed which are the DOH Administrative Order No. 2016-0039 Revised Operational Framework for a Comprehensive National Mental Health Program, and the RA No. 11036 Mental Health Act. Thus, together, let’s make the people around us break the stigma about mental health. In the reason to that , JCA created a project to help each and everyone of us to fight together against those mental health problems.
