Welcome to the website of the Yokomizo Lab!

This is the homepage of the Department of Biochemistry (Takehiko Yokomizo Laboratory), Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine. Our laboratory  has been targeting cell membrane receptors (GPCRs) and lipid mediators, and established and analyzed genetically engineered mice on receptors and enzymes for lipid mediators.

Recently, we have broadened our research focus to include lipid metabolic enzymes and fatty acid transporters involved in the "quality" and "flexibility" of cell membrane lipids. In 2023, we installed an imaging mass microscope and began research on the localization of lipids in organs.

We hope to continue to share our impactful research with the world through the discovery and analysis of novel molecules.

Undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in experiments and research, are welcome and encourfaged to "elucidate the roles of biomolecules whose functions are unknown".  We also welcome graduate students dispatched from clinical departments. Please feel free to contact us by phone or email.
