Our club, along with the Eco Council, incorporated a series of events on Earth Week 2021! Our ultimate goal was to reach out and educate our community, the city of Burbank, and districts- mainly targeted for the elementary school generations about sustainability and how we humans impact nature. One of these days includes a contribution to the 106th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Thus, creating a craft of the forget-me-not flower, and the president of the JBHS Armenian club informing all of us about what had occurred 106 years ago.
"During Earth Week we wonder, what effects do each of us have on nature? And what does that say about us as human beings, our human nature?"
On the very last day, we held an Earth Day carnival hosting breakout rooms. These included Jeopardy, Kahoot, Brain Pop, Bingo, Blooket, and Ecological Footprint Calculator breakout rooms. Those who attended all got a chance to win their very own tote bag from us if placing in the top three.
