"The Riverboat" is an interactive program featuring original music by Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards, as well as classic standards from black folk music, blues, Ragtime, jazz, zydeco, and swing. In addition to developing music literacy, students will learn about the history of jazz and its role in American history. "The Riverboat" celebrates the perseverance while telling the story of early black American life.
