NINNETTE ARENDSE

PIANO TEACHER

Hi, my name is Ninnette Arendse. I was exposed to music ever since I can remember through my parents. I started my music journey playing the piano and being part of the choir at school from the age of 7 through Primary and High School. Where I completed my grade 1 - grade 6 final practical and theory exams externally through Unisa. In 2000 I did my diploma in music at Stellenbosch University, some of my subjects being, piano practical and theory, choir (vocal training) and Stage Management. I also taught music for 2 years at St Clements Primary School, where I led the choir and they were selected to record a World Aids Day song for a organisation in Germany.

My music is my passion. Music is a source of inspiration and I am blessed to inspire others through it. Music is not selfish and needs to shared, and the best thing I've ever done was join Jazz Yard Academy, to be able to share my God given talent and to give to those that's not as fortunate or have the opportunity as I had.

One of the best quotes that I love

"I would teach children music, physics and philosophy but most importantly Music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning" - Plato
