The produce industry is probably the most important industry to California. California produces half of Americas fruit and vegetables. My railroad has a section known as "windy valley". Windy is modeled after the orange groves of Ventura county. It's placed around the transition era. I modeled this place because I loved the look of the orange groves and wanted to have a place for Pacific Fruit Express cars on my layout.
