This case study explores Cyclistic bike-share usage patterns, focusing on differences between annual members and casual riders. Using 12 months of trip data, I followed a structured process: data preparation, cleaning, and analysis using R. The data was unified, duplicates and incomplete entries were removed, and additional columns such as ride length and day of the week were calculated for analysis. Key findings revealed that casual riders typically take longer trips, especially on weekends, while annual members consistently ride throughout the week, contributing to a higher overall number of rides. These insights informed actionable recommendations to convert casual riders into members through targeted marketing campaigns and optimized bike availability during peak times. This analysis underscores the potential to enhance Cyclistic’s membership program and overall customer experience.
