In this assignment, we were tasked to create our own PC and my goal was to create a build with a budget of $1,500 and that could run games at a med to top level performance. Our main goal was to make a functioning desktop that had the most important parts that we learned in class that could benefit someone who was interested in the topic of creating our own machine.
My build consisted of parts that were not as popular as Nvidia or Samsung. This led me to research about new companies that had my parts that I needed to create a powerful gaming pc. Instead of a Nvidia gpu or amd cpu, I went with a Intel combo of gpu and cpu. I chose this because Intel is a new competitor and the parts had promising specs when it comes to gaming. My storage part was from a company named," Klevv" instead of the traditional Samsung stick and many more parts were in the same approach. In the end, I managed to create a pc worthy of high fps and a smooth gaming experience to those seeking a new way to game.
I really liked the experience of creating a pc because it was such a fun assignment to due especially coming from a gaming background. My personal build has the iconic brands with more crazy power, but finding new parts for a cheaper build was a little more fun to do because I wanted to find new company parts that not a lot of people look and seem to take for granted. I learned that if I'm not really interested in my major now (Social Work) I can always go for a tech career that focuses on understanding pc and the beauty of the tech world.
