This was a project that was a new experience to me. This is because I have never wrote a story before especially in this much detail. My memoir was about my sleep paralysis experience titled "Demons or My Imagination?" . This was memoir that described a very horrible experience in my life and it was experience I will never forget. It had changed me into doing new practices before I go to sleep. You can read more about my scary experience in the link below:

MWA2 Personal Essay Reflection
Here is what I learned this semester for this particular SLO.
Rhetorical Situation and Genre:
This genre I wrote is a memoir this time. This is the very first proper memoir I wrote this semester. This was great practice for future projects and practicing the format. When I wrote the strategies I used mostly visuals and environment that was around me and other scenarios that reflect on what is happening throughout the story to make it more suspenseful.
Writing as a Social Act
Well, when thinking about this memoir I have friends that have experienced this type of the same situation so I did use them to compare experiences and grasp ideas or spark memories I had of said situation.
Writing as a Process
This planning was kind of stressful and long. First because I don’t remember a lot of the memories I had that stuck with me and taught me a lesson. The memory is one of the few instances that I can never get over and is something that will reoccur and stick with me forever. When I came up with writing about sleep paralysis I used my friends and the internet to spark some memories I had. The editing and proofreading was a bit hard for me because some of the people I had read my story structured it the way I didn’t want it structured and I am not a strong writer myself however, I did try to the best of my abilities.
Grammar Usage
This memoir helped me improve my fluency. For example when transitioning from each paragraph with the dialogue embedded in. I think that really impacted my fluency as a writer.
I don’t think I incorporated various languages, dialects,or registers very much or at all in my memoir to be honest. However, that is something interesting to keep in mind for the future. Because I translated from a different dialect and language so the reader could understand. That is something I would like to incorporate in my writing next time.
Reflection
I admit that myself as a writer is not very strong but I can also say that I do appreciate this project helping me step outside my comfort zone because I never did anything like this before. I could say as a writer I am comfortable with being uncomfortable now. I would say over this semester I did improve a little bit on my writing skills and I know I can do better.
Research
The most research I did on sleep paralysis is the symptoms or the senses that you feel in that moment that were similar to mine so I used that as a influence on my writing.
The perspectives I got were that my writing was at least appropriate I can say when it came to writing something suspenseful.
