Hailing from the Driftless hills of southeast Minnesota, singer-songwriter Jason Edward weaves a tapestry of folk-rock and Americana in his original songs. He offers a vibrant blend of catchy melodies and relatable lyrics, while enjoyably integrating foot-tapping covers into his live shows.

Described as "feel-good, easy on the ears," Jason's music resonates with fans of The Gear Daddies and Tom Petty. His six-song EP, "Taking Chances," available on major streaming platforms, offers a glimpse into his authentic Midwestern Americana sound.

Jason can be spotted performing live along the upper Mississippi flyway, along U.S. Highway 61 and around the Driftless region of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

"Jason Edward’s new 6 song EP titled Taking Chances ebbs and flows like a fun filled float down the Mississippi River. From the ‘50s swing/doowop feel of Baby, to the wonderfully familiar classic rock feel of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Taking Chances sounds just as good on the bar room dance floor as it does rolling down the highway with the windows down. Taking Chances seamlessly moves from Americana to country to rock without grinding the gears at all. Solid lyrics and relatable themes make Edward’s Taking Chances a solid work of midwestern music."    – Bill Stoneberg, 89.5 FM KQAL

The cover photo is “reflecting the brutal challenges of modern rural life, as small towns continue to dry up and fade away. It really felt like the perfect image for this debut EP, which was influenced by the rural struggles and appeal of life in the upper Midwest.”
