Musicians standing against a wall. Tim Emmons (left), Jason Edward (center), Megan Kleven (right)

Tim Emmons, Jason Edward, and Megan Kleven know the struggle is the best part of the story.  These three songwriters have been crossing paths at various venues and as monthly contributors to the Rochester Songwriter's meetup.  They have found appreciation in the songs each other creates and are now performing those original songs in-the-round for you.  Fans of Chris Stapleton, Simon & Garfunkel, and Tom Petty will find enjoyment in this songwriter performance group.

Tim Emmons is a singer-songwriter who has been influenced by a wide variety of music throughout his life, country music has become his cornerstone. Tim's songwriting pulls from Jimmie Rodgers, the father of country music, to the classic country of George Jones, as well as incorporating modern influences of artists like Chris Stapleton.

Megan Kleven doesn’t fit into your average singer-songwriter cut-out.  With an affinity for the dark and shadowed, she tends to gravitate toward songs that exude strength, power, and sometimes sadness.  Many of her songs are influenced by the sounds of powerful and compassionate artists such as Hozier and Alanis Morissette.

Jason Edward views the art and craft of songwriting as a continuously evolving process.  His original music encompasses familiar rhythms with a pop-based folk / Americana / rock blend.  His music has been described as a fun mix of "feel good, easy on the ears" kind of songs and having a flair for Tom Petty. His songs offer a little something for everyone to enjoy.
