As a teacher and coach, my passion is to ignite a love of learning in my students and athletes to see them reach their full potential. I see each student and athlete as an individual with unique strengths, interests, and challenges, and I believe it's my job to create a supportive and inclusive environment that allows each student to shine. My teaching philosophy is centered around constructivism, which means that I believe students learn best by actively engaging with the material and constructing their own understanding through experiences and interactions. In my future classroom, I strive to make learning hands-on, meaningful, and fun. I believe that this approach not only helps students understand the material, but also develops critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity - skills that will serve them well in their future endeavors. I also believe in empowering my students to take control of their own learning. I want them to feel confident in their ability to learn and to understand that their successes are a result of their own hard work and dedication. I want them to leave my class not only with knowledge, but also with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment is also incredibly important to me. I believe that when students feel valued, respected, and included, they are more motivated, engaged, and invested in their learning. So, I make sure to promote kindness, respect, and acceptance in my classroom, and to provide support and encouragement to all students, regardless of their background or ability level. In short, my teaching philosophy is about creating a positive and inclusive environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential. I believe that when students feel supported, challenged, and empowered, they are capable of amazing things. And that's what I'm here for - to help them make their dreams a reality.
