I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Clinical and Administrative Sciences at Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy and as an Ambulatory Oncology Clinical Specialist at University Medical Center New Orleans. Since joining the faculty, I have been committed to excellence in teaching, patient care, mentorship, and service while fostering the development of future pharmacists and advancing oncology practice.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music, graduating with honors from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2014, and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, graduating with honors from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in 2018. Following graduation, I completed a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in 2019, where I developed the skills necessary to become a clinical pharmacist. I then completed a Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Ochsner Medical Center in 2021, which provided advanced specialty training and prepared me for my role as an oncology clinical specialist.

As a clinician-educator, I am dedicated to advancing pharmacy education through didactic instruction, experiential learning, curricular leadership, and mentorship. I serve as Co-Coordinator of the Professional Practice course sequence, an introductory course designed to develop first-year pharmacy students' foundational knowledge, communication skills, professionalism, and patient care competencies. In this role, I contribute to course development, instructional delivery, student assessment, and the coordination of learning experiences that support students' transition into the pharmacy profession. I also provide instruction on oncology disease states, cancer therapeutics, and evidence-based patient care throughout the curriculum.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I maintain an active clinical practice site at University Medical Center, where I serve as a member of a multidisciplinary oncology care team. As a clinical pharmacist, I function as the medication expert, collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes for patients with cancer. My role includes evaluating treatment plans, monitoring therapeutic response, managing treatment-related toxicities, recommending evidence-based interventions, and providing patient and caregiver education.

I provide comprehensive medication management for patients with both solid tumor and hematologic malignancies, helping ensure that treatment regimens are safe, effective, and aligned with current clinical guidelines. My responsibilities include optimizing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care regimens; interpreting laboratory and diagnostic data; promoting medication adherence; and helping patients navigate barriers to medication access. Through these activities, I contribute to clinical decision-making, enhance patient safety, and support positive outcomes throughout the cancer care continuum.

My clinical practice serves as the foundation for my teaching and mentorship. By integrating real-world patient care experiences into both classroom and experiential learning environments, I help learners develop clinical reasoning, problem-solving, communication, and interprofessional collaboration skills. I believe that effective pharmacy education bridges scientific knowledge with clinical application and empowers learners to become confident, compassionate, and evidence-based practitioners.

I precept pharmacy students and pharmacy residents with interests in oncology and clinical pharmacy practice. Through teaching and mentorship, I strive to foster critical thinking, professionalism, lifelong learning, and a commitment to excellence in patient care while supporting learners in achieving their academic and professional goals.

Beyond my teaching and clinical responsibilities, I actively contribute to student development and service within the College of Pharmacy. I serve on the College of Pharmacy Admissions Committee, where I participate in the recruitment and selection of future student pharmacists. I also serve as faculty advisor for the Cancer Research and Education Club, supporting student engagement in oncology education, research, and advocacy. In addition, I serve as faculty advisor for the Alpha Nu Chapter of Kappa Epsilon Professional Pharmacy Fraternity, mentoring students and promoting leadership, scholarship, service, and professional growth.

I am committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Through mentorship, advising, and service, I strive to empower learners to reach their full potential, develop confidence in their abilities, and become future leaders within the profession. I believe that meaningful mentorship and representation are essential to student success and the continued advancement of pharmacy practice.

I maintain active membership in several professional organizations, including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association, the National Pharmaceutical Association, and Kappa Epsilon Professional Pharmacy Fraternity.

My clinical, educational, and scholarly interests include breast cancer, gastrointestinal malignancies, thoracic oncology, oncology education, and the advancement of equitable, patient-centered cancer care. As a clinician-educator, I am dedicated to integrating patient care, teaching, leadership, service, and mentorship to improve outcomes for patients with cancer while preparing the next generation of pharmacists to excel in clinical practice. Looking forward, I aim to continue expanding my contributions through innovative teaching, meaningful mentorship, scholarly activity, and professional service that advance pharmacy education and oncology care.
