The primary was introduced the first week of school. Students learned how primaries work in a national presidential election. They learned that the two main parties are the democratic party and the republican party. In our election, the two main parties are the boy party and the girl party. Each student campaigning for election gave a speech in front of their peers. An election was held whereby the girls ran against the girls and the boys ran against the boys. When the election was over, the class had two presidential candidates for the major election to be held November 6, the same day as the nation's election day.
