Preparing for my IT career

Being a student of the Business Information Technology, I can admit I have a fruitful year since many important knowledge is acquired in the course and it will benefit me for future career.

First, one of the major module of the course, introduction to computing gave us the fundamental sense of programming. In lessons, we are taught to use python which is more suitable for programming beginners, just like me. It is a quite difficult task to learn a programming language with limited computer skills. However, the professor guided us steps by steps in each tutorials from basics to advance. I believe the experience to master the skills of coding can help me in the future because programming is an essential skill in future career.

Then, the module of current technologies taught us important concepts in the IT field such as database, e-commerce and cloud computing. Our lecturer is experienced and he was able to describe the modern technology and some future trend. He also told us the importance to consider the market when developing new technologies by giving past success and failure of different companies. Also, practicing HTML and CSS are really interesting and they are actually my favorite part of the lesson.

Moreover, another module Business Decision Making gave us the necessary knowledge of business and accounting such as some accounting ratios and some statistics skills used in business. I am sure it will be used in future when managing the finance of a company and we will have better planning and decision.
