SIT Your Way! is a mobile app designed to simplify shuttle bus bookings for SIT staff and students, offering a hassle-free way to travel to SIT@Punggol from various interchanges across Singapore. By optimizing commutes, the app ensures a quicker, more efficient journey while also reducing congestion at the 84G bus stop and Punggol Bus Interchange. Say goodbye to long waits and overcrowding
With the recent opening of the SIT Punggol campus, students and faculty face limited travel options. Overcrowding at the 84G bus stop has become a major issue, and the 15-minute unsheltered walk to and from Teck Lee LRT adds to the inconvenience.
To better understand these challenges, we conducted surveys with UXGD students—one of the first batches to move into the new campus. Many highlighted the severe lack of transport options, often resulting in exhausting daily commutes of 2 to 2.5 hours each way. With no dormitories available, that’s 4 to 5 hours lost every day.
A recurring request among students was a dedicated shuttle service connecting key MRT interchanges to SIT@Punggol. Based on their feedback, we identified four major locations—HarbourFront, Jurong, Woodlands, and Tampines. These interchanges serve as central hubs for students from different regions of Singapore, making them ideal pickup points for an efficient and direct shuttle service.
My primary role in this project involved creating low-fidelity sketches for the mobile application's interface, conducting user testing, designing the onboarding screens, and contributing to the finalized high-fidelity layout.
The problem statement is drafted using 5 Ws: WHO indicates our target audiences, WHAT indicates the current state of their target audiences in the midst of their issues. WHEN indicates the current timeframe of the issues’ occurrence. WHERE indicates the location of where the issue occurrences. WHY indicates the reasons behind the issues’ occurrences.
Navigating the SIT Your Way! onboarding process is quick and intuitive. Users can effortlessly move through each step with a simple tap on the "Next" button. A pagination indicator helps track progress and shows how many onboarding screens remain.
Once the introduction is complete, users are directed to the home screen, which provides easy access to essential features, including:

Student Class Schedule
By integrating the student’s personal class schedule into the app, SIT Your Way! can suggest optimized shuttle time slots—displayed conveniently on the home screen—ensuring a seamless and efficient commuting experience.
The booking page is designed for a smooth and hassle-free experience. It automatically displays the student's first class of the day and suggests shuttle slots based on their schedule. Students can simply choose a time that best suits them, then select their preferred pickup location and departure time—making the booking process quick and convenient.

The profile page streamlines the booking process by allowing users to pre-select their preferred pick-up and drop-off points.
Additionally, it integrates the user's class schedule and provides real-time updates on class cancellations, prompting users to cancel their bookings if needed.
There are three types of notifications:
Open Slot – Alerts users when a booking is cancelled, allowing them to secure the slot.
Class Cancellation – Notifies users when a class is cancelled, prompting them to adjust their bookings accordingly.
Shuttle Updates – Provides real-time notifications on shuttle arrivals.
Each booking generates a unique QR code that serves as both student identification and booking confirmation. To board the bus, students must scan their QR code. If the code is invalid or expired, access to the shuttle will be denied.
