Project Duration: May 2022 to December 2022
I conducted user interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I'm designing for and their needs. A primary group of users were artists who wanted to customize their own profiles and create their own personas. Research confirmed that this user group really wanted a social media type of art gallery. Other interests were collaborations with other artists, selling their art pieces and being able to reach out globally.
My responsibilities were conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, and iterating on designs which you'll see below.
I made some iterations of a few paper wireframes and ensured that the elements that made it to digital wireframes address user pain points.
The initial digital wireframe started off with a completed different profile page
The Final hi-fi prototype presented cleaner user flows.
While designing the app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are truly just the beginning. You really have to conduct research studies and make sure user needs are met. My next steps are conduct more usability studies to determine if all of the user pain points have been fixed and polish my prototypes.
