Fall & Spring Semester Internship | Purdue University
Record/photograph and edit promo videos highlighting schoolwide CCSE events, create social media content, attend, record, and edit research conferences, revamp the Vimeo page, update studio equipment, and assist in creating a funded political podcast competition, plus any other misc. tasks. Most notably, created a highlight reel introducing Howard Holzer for C-SPAN's A Conversation with Brian Lamb.
As the establishing Video Production intern, I was privileged to assist in the molding of the program, contributing to a year-long conversation regarding Video's importance to the Editorial program.
My internship was extended to a full-year commitment as of November 2021.
In the following semesters after my inaugural internship, the Video Production element has been further implemented into the CCSE program, increasing their responsibilities and prevalence in the campus community.
(with special guest Howard Holzer)
For this project, my main responsibility was combing through the C-SPAN Archives to find footage of famous Lincoln historian Howard Holzer through the years and assemble an introductory highlight reel to be shown before the event. This project was created through DaVinci Resolve.
During the event, I - along with the other CCSE interns - helped set up and run the check-in for the pre-event reception as well as welcoming Brian Lamb and Howard Holzer.
After the reception and event, I was responsible for cleaning the multi-cam event footage (from the Purdue University Hall of Music Productions team), trimming the extra footage, transitioning over verbal missteps, and balancing the audio levels. My final responsibility is the export and upload to Vimeo.
