A Chat With AI | A 3D Animated Short Film
This project was a fully self-directed assignment to create a stylized 3D animated short film in Blender, showcasing the entire production pipeline from concept to final render. I was responsible for the full 3D workload, including the development of minimalist models, atmospheric lighting, and fluid camera animation to immerse the audience in the AI's digital world. Beyond the visuals, I demonstrated advanced audio production skills by composing the lo-fi instrumental soundtrack which was essential for world-building and setting the contemplative mood. Furthermore, I applied precise digital audio effects and processing to the dialogue to accurately emulate a chilling and authentic robotic voice. This piece proves my ability to manage both the technical demands of complex 3D animation and the nuanced creative direction of an audio mix to deliver a cohesive, professional narrative experience.
Whatcom Chorale - Curtain Up! May 30th, 2025 (Recording & Audio Engineer)
This project represents my complete audio production role, serving as both the Recording Engineer and Mixing Engineer for this studio track. I managed the session flow in Pro Tools for tracking all instrumental and vocal performances, ensuring optimal gain staging and signal integrity from input to session. I then utilized a hybrid workflow, leveraging both Pro Tools and Ableton for detailed editing, sound design elements, and precision mixing. The goal was to produce a professional, commercial-quality studio mix by applying advanced mixing techniques like parallel compression, surgical EQ, and strategic spatial effects. This demonstrates my mastery of industry-standard DAWs and my ability to deliver a polished, ready-for-release final master that competes with contemporary sound
June 6th, 2025 - Western Symphony Orchestra: Concerto Competition Winners and Tchaikovsky 5
I served as the Livestream Lead Technician for the Western Symphony Orchestra, with the core responsibility of creating the official archive for all performances at the WWU Performing Arts Center. This project required expert management of the entire multi-media workflow, starting with coordinating multi-camera operation to ensure comprehensive visual coverage of the large-scale event. I then executed the demanding audio post-production, meticulously mixing and mastering the high-fidelity recorded tracks to capture the orchestra’s full dynamic range and deliver a professional-grade acoustic experience. Ultimately, my work preserved the performance by editing the footage and mixing the audio into a cohesive, broadcast-ready asset, demonstrating my ability to manage complex technical logistics under pressure.
I bring professional experience in sound recording and engineering, adept at capturing audio for both musical and cinematic projects, whether in field environments or the studio. My academic journey included significant work recording diverse ensembles, from rock bands to symphonies, and dedicated sound for film. I am proficient with a comprehensive range of analog and digital audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, compressors, outboard effects, and in-the-box plugins. While skilled in various DAWs, I primarily utilize Avid Pro Tools and Ableton Live in my workflow.
My interest in audio production is driven by a passion for crafting immersive soundscapes and high-fidelity recordings that profoundly enhance both musical compositions and visual narratives. I have experience with sound capture, precise mixing, and meticulous mastering, whether for dynamic live performances or compelling film scores.
