In this project I took up the task of transforming a classroom/rehearsal studio into an office, house, and church straight out of the 1930's. Using Pittsburgh Playhouse's Properties storage, a small budget, and a lot of hot glue: we successfully ensured an audible gasp in the audience as they entered the performance space. The Director's vision was to utilize this piece as a critique on religion while eliciting an "Uncanny Valley" feeling. I stayed true to her vision whilst adding nods at religion, a subtle eeriness, and staying true to the time period.
